Cratloe Hills Sheep’s Cheese

Cratloe Hills is owned and run by Sean and Deidre Fitzgerald in Cratloe, Co Clare, where they pioneered Irelands first sheep’s cheese in 1988. They have been farming sheep and making cheese for over 30 years, travelling to the Netherlands, France and England to perfect their trade. Living on the Wild Atlantic Way, their Friesland Ewe’s graze on some of the finest grass in the world, which in turn yields their high-quality sheep’s cheese.

The cheese crafting process takes over 24 hours to complete. However, maturation can take from 3 to 15 months.  At Glas Grazing, we are proud to use the tasty, award winning Cratloe Hills Sheep’s Cheese in our grazing platters and grazing tables.
